To Whom It May Concern:
I did a great deal of research on dogs and discovered that Bishons have an excellent personality and are great family dogs. Now this is the perfect dog for me, I thought!!! I got Scooter and fell in love with him instantly. He is a cute, little, white, fluffy puppy. Although Scooter has all these excellent traits, he does have one flaw: Scooter has severe aggression. It was extremely difficult to take Scooter for a walk because he would attack anything that came within 6’ of him. When we would walk near people, I was extremely anxious because I wasn’t sure what he was going to do.
I took Scooter to group training which helped some however Scooter was more of a distraction to the other people in the class. Scooter went through the 6 week group training. He did learn to sit upon command however he would only sit when he felt like it. I decided to try Scooter with another 6 week session. Again, this helped Scooter to learn commands however his aggression continued to get worse.
Scooter’s aggression was so severe, I was afraid to take him anywhere. Even going through a drive-thru was a chore. I had been speaking with Larry regarding one-on-one training since the first group session. I knew Scooter was going to need a great deal of help however I was a little worried about the cost. I decided Scooter was more important than the cost and decided to go through with 9 weeks of training.
I can honestly tell you, Scooter is a completely different dog!!! It is absolutely incredible!! Scooter and I are able to go for a walk without me having to be in a panic anytime we are near people. I can go through the drive-thru without Scooter trying to jump out the window and bite the person on the other side. Scooter is learning that he has no choice other than to have respect for me. Though Scooter will always have some degree of aggression, Larry has made an incredible difference in the quality of life Scooter and I will have together.
It is my pleasure to recommend Larry. He has made an enormous change in Scooter and has taught me to be a better dog owner.
